How is your sod sold?
We sell fresh-cut sod by the roll, pallet, and truckload, so we can supply anything from a small patch repair to a full residential or commercial install.
Do you deliver, and what areas do you serve?
Yes — we deliver throughout Greenville and Eastern North Carolina.
Do you offer professional installation?
We do. Our team can handle your installation start to finish, or you’re welcome to pick up your sod or have it delivered to install yourself.
How much sod do I need?
Measure the length by the width of each area to get the square footage. Not sure how to figure it? Send us your measurements or your address and we’ll help you work it out.
When should I water new sod?
Right away. Fresh sod needs consistent moisture to root — water within the first hour of installation and keep it damp daily through the first couple of weeks.
Can you help with commercial or contractor projects?
Absolutely. We supply and support residential and commercial projects of every scale and work regularly with contractors across the region.

2. Lawn Care & Treatments
When should I fertilize my lawn in North Carolina?
Warm-season lawns are best fed once they green up in spring and through the growing season. Centipede in particular needs less nitrogen than most grasses, so a soil test and a customized plan keep the timing and amounts right.
How often should I water my lawn in summer?
Most warm-season lawns want about 1 inch of water per week during active summer growth. Deep, infrequent watering beats short daily sprinkles — it encourages stronger roots.
When should pre-emergent be applied in NC?
In both fall and spring, timed to the windows just before weed seeds germinate. Getting ahead of weeds this way means far less corrective spraying later in the season.
How do I prevent weeds in my lawn?
A healthy, dense lawn is your best defense — it leaves little room for weeds to take hold. Pair that with well-timed pre-emergent treatments and targeted weed control for the best results.
What's the best mowing height for Centipede grass?
Generally around 1 to 1.5 inches. Because Centipede grows slowly, you’ll also mow it less often than most other lawns.
Which lawn treatments matter most in summer?
Weed control, insect and disease monitoring, proper mowing height, and keeping an eye on drought stress are the priorities through the hottest months.

Which grass is right for my lawn — Zoysia or Centipede?
It comes down to priorities. Choose Meyer Zoysia for a premium, durable, higher-traffic lawn, or Centipede for low maintenance and easy upkeep. We’re glad to help you decide based on your property.
Does Zoysia require different care than Centipede?
It does. Zoysia is denser and a bit more demanding — moderate feeding and the occasional aeration — while Centipede thrives on minimal nitrogen and less frequent mowing.
Is Meyer Zoysia good for North Carolina lawns?
Very. As a warm-season grass it loves our hot, humid summers and full sun, and it handles the region’s sandy soils well.
Does Centipede grass do well in shade?
It tolerates light to moderate shade but performs best in full sun. Heavily shaded spots can thin out over time.
